Solus Decor FAQ

How long will a Solus fire pit last, and what is the warranty?

Our Solus Decor Fire Pits are built to last a lifetime with proper care. We use high-quality materials, including non-corrosive metals, and offer the following warranties:

Concrete vessels: 1 year or 5 years with the purchase of a Solus All-Weather cover or Metal Tabletop (where applicable).

Natural gas and propane manual burners: 5 years or 25 years with the purchase of a Solus All-Weather cover or Metal Tabletop (where applicable).

Electronic Start Components: 1 year or 3 years with the purchase of a Solus All-Weather cover or Metal Tabletop (where applicable).

Ethanol burners: 3 years with the purchase of a Solus All-Weather cover or Metal Tabletop (where applicable).

Can I store propane fuel inside the fire pit?

No, our fire pits do not allow internal storage of propane tanks for safety reasons. However, our Tank Table, available in matching finishes, houses a 20 lb. propane tank and doubles as an outdoor end table.

Are Solus fire features safe?

Yes, all Solus fire pits are fully certified and safe. However, like all gas appliances, they should never be left burning unattended, and children and pets should be monitored when the fire pit is active. The concrete vessel warms up but doesn't get hot. For specific safety instructions, refer to our user manuals.

Will concrete crack or get hot?

Concrete won't crack unless there's structural shifting or bond failure. It can get hot to touch but won't produce harmful fumes.

Can you cook on a Solus fire feature?

You can certainly roast the odd marshmallow over our fire pits.

How do I care for my concrete?

For walls and surrounds, dusting and occasional damp cloth wipe are sufficient. Use neutral cleanser for stubborn stains. Yearly resealing with concrete-specific sealer is advised.

For floors, mop with a damp cloth and minimal cleanser. Reseal high traffic areas as needed, potentially monthly, and reseal all areas yearly.
