Connect Bromic Heaters to Your Home Automation System

The Bromic Smart-Heat Link RS232 Plugin is an interface that lets Bromic outdoor heaters communicate with home automation systems. Using an RS-232 serial connection, it allows compatible control platforms such as Control4, Crestron, Lutron, and similar systems to operate Bromic heaters from a centralized control system.

This device does not function as a remote on its own — it acts as the bridge between your automation controller and Bromic heater controllers.

Key Functions

  • Smart system integration – Connects Bromic heaters to home or commercial automation platforms through RS-232

  • Wide compatibility – Works with popular control systems that support serial communication

  • Centralized control – Allows heaters to be managed from a single automation interface

  • Wireless command relay – Sends automation commands to Bromic heater controllers

  • Professional setup required – Must be installed and programmed by a qualified integrator

How It Works

  1. The Smart-Heat Link connects to your automation system using an RS-232 DB-9 serial cable

  2. The unit is powered by an external 5V DC power supply (sold separately)

  3. The device is programmed to recognize Bromic heater control signals

  4. Once paired, the automation system can control heater functions such as on/off, heat levels, and scheduling

Smart Link

Common Uses

This accessory is ideal for anyone who wants to:

  • Control Bromic patio heaters through a smart home or commercial automation system

  • Include heaters in scheduled or automated scenes (for example, turning on at sunset)

  • Manage outdoor heating from a centralized control panel

Installation Notes

Because the Smart-Heat Link requires serial communication setup and system programming, it should be installed by a licensed electrician or professional automation integrator with experience in Bromic heating systems and RS-232 connections.
